Our Programs
At the request of His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios, Faith supported the following Archdiocesan programs:
Faith Scholarship Awards
In 2007, Faith funded scholarships to the valedictorians and salutatorians of the parochial schools throughout the Archdiocese. These merit-based scholarships are designated for educational purposes and underscore our commitment to excellence in education throughout our Archdiocese. In 2008, Faith plans to expand the funding allocations for the scholarship program to also include Greek Orthodox valedictorians of public, private, and parochial schools.

Technology Grants
Faith funded two separate grants to the National Ministries for enhancing the technology infrastructure at Hellenic College / Holy Cross School of Theology and at the Archdiocese of America. These grants provided immediate and critical funding for updating the School’s computer lab and technology infrastructure. The upgrade of the computer equipment, software, digital technologies and technological connections are greatly benefiting the students and faculty and will allow for new educational programs and collaborations. The Archdiocese Technology Project is a bold initiative that promises to transform how the Greek Orthodox Church ministers to her faithful. By modernizing the methods the Church has employed to manage parishioner and organizational information, this project will empower Parishes, Metropolises, and the Archdiocese with a state-of-the-art system of computerized tools, enhancing the Church’s ability to coordinate information for more effective outreach and evangelism. The result is a more vibrant and cohesive local, regional, and national Church.
Oratorical Festival Awards
Each year, hundreds of young people from around compete in the annual St. John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival of the Archdiocese. Introduced in 1983, the Oratorical Festival provides Greek Orthodox teenagers the opportunity to write and talk about Orthodoxy and Hellenism. In 2007, with an allocation of funds from Faith, the Archdiocese provided college scholarship awards to the top three speakers each of the Junior and Senior Divisions as well as the honorable mention candidates.
Communication Infrastructure Grant
Faith has funded a “Communication Infrastructure Analysis” of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America by an independent outside public relations firm. This important study will provide the Church family with a roadmap for enhancing and rejuvenating the communication of Orthodoxy and Hellenism to our community.
